Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is an upcoming 2014 Bollywood film. The film features Varun Dhawan as Rakesh Sharma (Humpty) and Alia Bhatt as Kavya Pratap Singh in lead roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar and directed by debutant Shashank Khaitan.[1][2][3] The film will be released on 11 July 2014.[4]

Production and Development
Casting[edit]
Dharma Productions confirmed that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will be portraying the main leads for the movie in August 2013. This will be the second time the pair will be seen together in a movie and also with the producer Karan Johar.[5] It was confirmed in January 2014, TV Actor Siddharth Shukla has been signed by the producers, who himself will be playing an important role for the movie alongside the main cast. This marks Shukla's debut in Hindi film industry.[6]
Filming
Filming of the movie began in early 2014. Mainly the filming was taken place in Mumbai and second schedule completed on 12 March in Punjab.[7][8] Dhawan hints about his character, "Humpty is a character; he's not the hero. He is someone who says inappropriate things at the wrong time." [9] As a part of the filming schedule, filming been completed in Chandigarh, Khan Market and Delhi University.[10] It was reported on the makers on the movie shot a song named Saturday Saturday in Mumbai Film City recreating famous Colosseum for a futuristic avatar song. Song is choreographed by Ahmed Khan [11]

The song "Saturday Saturday" was the first single track released composed by The Titans, Badshah & recreated by Sharib-Toshi.
