Sadhana Shivdasani (born 2 September 1941, better known mononymously as Sadhana, is an Indian actress who was one of the top stars in the 1960s and the early 1970s. Besides becoming the fashion icon for young Indian girls with her specific hair style, still known as "Sadhana cut", she became famous as Mystery Girl with her three suspense thriller films namely Woh Kaun Thi? (1964), Mera Saaya (1966) and Anita (1967), all directed by Raj Khosla.
Sadhana was nominated for prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Woh Kaun Thi? and Waqt in 1965 and 1966. She retired from films in the mid-1970s after directing and co-producing a few films.

Paar (translation: "The Crossing ") is a 1984 Hindi movie directed by Goutam Ghose. The film stars Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri. Naseeruddin Shah won a Volpi Cup for his role as Naurangia. The film was based on Bengali story Paathi by Samaresh Basu.

Plot

The film of exploitation in rural Bihar, in which a landlord (Utpal Dutt)’s men wreck a village and kill the benevolent schoolmaster (Anil Chatterjee) who was in progressive force. The labourer Naurangia (Naseeruddin Shah) breaks with a tradition to passive resistance and retaliates by killing the landlord’s brother. Naurangia and his wife Rama (Shabana Azmi) become fugitives from justice. After many efforts to find sustenance elsewhere, the two decide to return home. To earn the fare, they agree to drive the herd of pigs through the river, causing the pregnant Rama to believe she has lost her baby.But they have to swim across a wide, swiftly flowing river, in which they nearly drown before reaching safety. At the end of the film Naurangia puts his ear to her belly and listens to the heartbeats of the unborn son.

Naseeruddin Shah (born 20 July 1950) is an Indian film actor and director. He is widely considered to be one of the finest Indian stage and film actors. He is an influential actor of the Indian Parallel (New Wave) Cinema. Shah has won numerous awards in his career, including three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards and one Venice Film Festival. The Government of India has honoured him with both the Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan civilian awards for his contributions to Indian cinema.
In 2013, his second Pakistani film Zinda Bhaag was selected as an official entry from Pakistan to the 86th Academy Awards in the category of Best Foreign Language Film. It also won four international awards at International South Asian Film Festival in Canada before released.His contribution of works made him as one of the greatest actor of Indian Cinema particularly known as Bollywood.

Youngistaan

Youngistaan is an upcoming Bollywood film slated to release on 28 March 2014. The film is directed by Syed Ahmad Afzal. It stars Jackky Bhagnani, Neha Sharma, Farooq Sheikh and Boman Irani. The film is a love story set against the backdrop of Indian politics. The first trailer of Youngistaan was unveiled at a suburban multiplex in Mumbai on 1 February 2014. Farooq Shaikh died on 27 December 2013, Youngistaan would be his last film he acted in.

While the first schedule of the film took place in Indore, Lucknow and overseas, the second schedule happened at the Taj Mahal in Agra, where a campaign titled 'Yo Youngistan Go Youngistan' was launched.

film directed by Eshvar Niwas and written by Neeraj Pandey. Film is set to release on 7th of March under the banner of Reliance Big Entertainment with a screen count of 1,600 in comparison to 1,100 each for Gulab Gang and Queen releasing same date so a very healthy competition expected on 7 March 2014 one day before Women's Day 8 March 2014. Film stars Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam in lead roles. Veteran actor Anupam Kher and his real life wife and Veteran actress Kiron Kher are appearing together for the first time in a movie. Strong pre release buzz was achieved by releasing Movies theatrical trailer 100 days before the movie release on 25 November 2013. Music was very well received by critics. Palat meri Jaan and Title Song became Chartbusters.
